Rajasthan- the land of kingdoms is the largest state of India in terms of area. It boast of the world's 18th largest subtropical desert - the Thar Desert. Located in the northwestern part of the country, with its rich culture and artistic traditions, Rajasthan showcases the essence of India. This place is a symbol of folk culture and is well known for its legendary forts, carved temples and beautifully decorated havelis, which were contributed by Rajput Kings.

Geographically Rajasthan is an arid province.
